Womb Woven Basketry

Womb woven baskets are hand-made baskets woven from grass in the Texas panhandle. Woven within the womb of prayer, the name “womb woven” describes the space of contemplative receptivity and intercessory prayer, within which the baskets are made. I collect, prepare, and weave the grass for each basket completely by hand. Basket designs are also original and each basket is absolutely unique.
