White Over Red Flower Implosion Glass Choker Pendant
This bright red pendant technique is called Implosion glass and it features a white flower over shimmering dark blue/gray petals on a base of red then completely encased in clear glass. It was handblown by Artisan LandsGlass. The fluid movement of the glass folds backward and creates its own bail that encircles the choker’s necklace cord from which it hangs. What is Implosion Glass? Working with molten glass the artist uses techniques and combinations of colors and to create one-of- a-kind unique pieces of artwork! Shaping is all done under the torch and items are then annealed in digital kilns that strengthen the glass. This pendant hangs from a black cloth wrapped cord of about 4mm in thickness and is bordered by sterling decorative rings and saw-cut bright red square metallic red ring accents, all held stationary in the front with black rubber buna rings which are removable if desired. The necklace cord has a loop and monkey-paw knotted clasp. Length: 16.25” Implosion Glass Pendant: 26x22mm
