Uncommon Scents's Policies
I accept PayPal (account NOT required to use), and Direct Checkout. Please note that a sales tax of 6.75% will be applied to all orders shipped and/or delivered to a Ohio address.
Upon receipt of payment, your candle will be packaged. This process will take at least 1-2 days Orders will be promptly shipped via USPS Mail (unless otherwise noted). Quoted shipping fees include the cost of packing materials and all orders are packed with extreme care to ensure safe arrival at your home. I will do my best to ensure shipping fees are as low as possible for each order. I always ship to the address on your order unless you indicate otherwise. Please be sure to provide your correct and current shipping address. LOST/STOLEN/DELAYED ORDERS Uncommon Scents is not responsible for stolen packages or any lost items that cannot have the insurance claimed (tracking labels that read "Delivered"). We are also not responsible for errors made by the Post Office. If your item is delayed past its "estimated arrival date" we apologize, but it is out of our control. We suggest filing a complaint with the USPS. A domestic package must be missing for 21 days with an incomplete tracking record before we can file an insurance claim and resend the order. RETURNED ORDERS Please verify that you have the correct mailing address before placing an order. If a customer has entered incorrect information, they are responsible for additional postage to resend it. If an item is returned to us for any other reason it is up to the buyer to repay shipping fees to have it resent. If you choose not to have it resent we can refund you the cost of the items, but not the original shipping fees.
Refund & Exchange Policy
My goal is to ensure that you are pleased with your purchase and I am more than willing to work with you if you are not satisfied. If you are not happy with your order, please contact me as soon as possible. I can provide a full refund to you within 10 days of receipt of purchase provided candles are in their original condition. Please be aware that you are responsible for any shipping/handling fees for the return of your items. I would recommend utilizing a tracking option on your returns as I am unable to refund items that may not arrive to me. Refunds will be issued promptly upon receipt of the item(s). The refunded amount will be for the actual item. If you used your PayPal balance, the money will be refunded to your PayPal account balance. If you used your credit card/debit card for your order, money will be refunded to your card. It may take up to 30 days to appear on the card statement depending on your bank's polices. The refund will be credited to the original purchaser in the currency of the original payment, using the same conversion rate for the original payment.
**SPECIAL ORDERS: If you want multiple candles made especially for you please message me to discuss how the process works. A special order requires a purchase of 3 candles.
