The Prickly Pear's Policies

Introduction

Before The Prickly Pear came into existence, it was the hobby of a creative young woman (me) . It was something that I enjoyed doing. I absolutely loved crafting and creating things. It was something I was good at. The transformation into a small business came about while I was teaching when fellow teachers needed someone to come up with decorations for a party. After that, there were a few orders for banners, but I sort of lost my way when I was let go due to a lack of students in my area. I began creating things out of my home. It was anything you could think of: banners, hair bows, wall art, tutus,etc. Things were finally getting going, but another life event came about: divorce. I moved back in with my parents, and my stuff was here, there, and yonder. It was hard to locate any of my supplies, but I was determined to make this work. I started doing craft shows and was getting extra orders from that as well as from a local photographer looking for props. I moved again in 2014 to start again somewhere new and have since been creating for my online shop and learning all there is to know about crafts and marketing. I developed a blog that I finally have been motivated to keep up with! I create when my creativity gets a spark and just go with it. I do what "feels" right, and I am so glad I listened to my gut and decided creativity was the way to go! Currently, I offer a variety of jewelry pieces in my shop, but I'll be expanding out into different areas soon. I couldn't be more excited! Also, if you want something custom made, I welcome those orders, too! They're so fun to work on :) It doesn't have to be strictly jewelry--I love all crafts. Payment Policy

Payment options are limited to what aftcra allows. Any item in the shop needs to be paid in full before shipment (payment is expected within 3 days). For completely custom items, I require half of the payment up front. Cancellations: Items already in the shop have a 24 hour cancellation period, Custom items have a 48 hour cancellation period.

Shipping Policy

Ready to ship items will be mailed in 1-3 business days after payment is received. Custom orders will depend on how long it will take me to make the item, but I will give you an estimated shipping date. U.S. orders will have a shipping fee of $3.00. Orders will be sent via first class or priority mail. International orders will have to pay for half of the shipping amount.

Refund & Exchange Policy

I try my best to take accurate photographs of my items, but if for some reason an item is not what you expected, please ship it back to me (buyer is responsible for shipping costs). If an item arrives damaged, please take photos, and email me at pricklypeartndesigner@gmail.com, and I will issue you a refund.
