Wood Fired Marbled Clay Bottle
This pottery bottle was thrown by myself on the pottery wheel with two kinds of clay. I glazed the inside and only the very lip of the outside, leaving the rest bare to show off the beautiful striations. It was fired for 15+ hours in a wood firing kiln. The ash produced melts at the hot temperatures, and blows around the kiln glazing everything it lands on. The speckles and the patch of gold/green "lichen" are areas of melted ash. A small chip came away from the bottom with the wadding (kiln shelf prop)-a natural result of wood firing-that has no effect on the bottle's stability. It measures around 9.5" tall I will happily combine shipping. If you prefer not to receive a refund through paypal, please contact me before you purchase Please ask me about wholesale!
