SALE - Second - Wood Fired Bottle - Pottery Vase with Local Clay
I'm selling this guy at a discount only because there is a small chip missing from the bottom-something very common in wood firing. This does not impede functionality in any way, and is not visible when set down. This bottle was thrown by me on the potter's wheel. After being fired once, to give it strength, I glazed it and refired in a wood kiln. Firing with an open flame means each firing and its results are different. Because at the high temperature the ash from the fuel also melts, forming a glaze, each firing has another variable. The oil spot shine of the surface is the result of this atmosphere reacting with the glaze and local clay applied under the glaze. This bottle measures about 3.5" tall I will happily combine shipping. If you prefer not to receive a refund through paypal, please contact me before you purchase Please ask me about wholesale!
