Wood Fired Shino Pottery Bottle or Bud Vase
This little bottle was thrown by me on the pottery wheel. Before it dried I gave it some personality with a belly button. After that, it got glazed with a shino glaze. I chose this traditional glaze because it loves the wood kiln, and that's where this piece was destined. Using wood as a fuel source means you have a lot of ash ending up in the kiln. This melts in the heat and forms a glaze, creating beautiful and unique results every firing. The flecks are spots where ash landed and melted. This wood ash can be very desirable, and looks beautiful and natural on this bottle. The open flame also caused a slight blushing in some areas. It would look perfect with a single flower. This piece measures 4" tall I will happily combine shipping. If you prefer not to receive a refund through paypal, please contact me before you purchase Please ask me about wholesale!
