Wheel Thrown Bottle/Bud Vase with Local Clay Slip
This little bottle was thrown by me on the pottery wheel. I coated it with a layer of local slip-a clay I dug locally and processed to be paint consistency. Because of the iron and other minerals in the local clay it melts in the firing at over 2000 degrees. It reacted with the glaze to produce layers of brown and flowing cream. This bottle or bud vase measures a little over 3" tall
