For hundreds of years people have put aromatic herbs under their pillows at night to help them sleep!
Many discovered that certain herbs helped them remember their dreams. These organic dream pillows will be filled with organic yarrow (the traditional herb used to remember dreams), organic lavender and organic chamomile as well as howlite and amethyst stones to encourage dream recall.
YARROW: The name yarrow is derived from hieros, which means sacred. Yarrow is associated with ceremonial magic. Yarrow was thought to be richly endowed with spiritual properties and was used as an amulet to protect against negative energy. It was also believed to be a love charm and to be ruled by the planet Venus. In folklore, a maiden who places yarrow dreams of her future husband.
LAVENDER: Lavender is an aromatic member of the mint family native to the Mediterranean region, Northern and Eastern Africa and parts of India. It bears fragrant purple, white or blue flowers nearly all summer long and into autumn. The plant is a low-growing shrub with multiple stems and spikes of flowers. Lavender is calming and clearing. When sleeping with Lavender, it helps calm and clear one's energy.
CHAMOMILE: The word Chamomile comes from the Greek meaning "ground apple". The Romans used Chamomile for incense. Chamomile was used in ancient Egypt for fevers and was dedicated to their Sun God Ra. When sleeping with Chamomile, it is used for tranquility and purification.
HOWLITE: This gentle white stone helps absorb stress and worries.
LEPIDOLITE: Used in dream work.
