Silver Spoonful's Policies
Welcome Welcome to Silver Spoonful! Made to Order Items: these listing photos are representations of the work that I do. I will create a made-to-order piece for you based on the representation in the listing photograph. Each piece is hand made and will be unique. Part of the beautiful quality of these gifts is the fact that it was not mass produced by a machine, but hand-crafted by a human being...ME! ♥ Please remember that this is a vintage piece re-purposed into the beautiful personalized gift you are purchasing today. There will likely be evidence of a time-worn beauty common in antique/vintage pieces. I hand polish and wash each piece for you before wrapping. Food safe. I recommend hand washing, as silver plate can tarnish faster over time if put in the intense heat of the dishwasher.
I accept PayPal.
Processing time does not include shipping time. Orders are shipped USPS First Class Mail. This does not include insurance. If you need faster shipping, insurance, etc. please contact me and I will create a special listing for you. The tracking on International orders can be unpredictable. International buyers are responsible for the requirements of their country regarding shipping, including customs fees or other fees once the package reaches their country. Once the package is dropped off at the post office I cannot be held responsible for lost packages.

All items are thoroughly hand polished and hand washed and dried prior to wrapping and shipping. Food safe. Silver plate remains shinier longer if handled and used. You may want to occasionally give them a quick wipe with a silver polishing cloth or cream to bring back a high shine. Do not leave in acidic dishes (tomatoes, lemons, eggs) for an extended period of time as this can cause corrosion and pitting. I do recommend hand washing, as silver plate can tarnish faster over time if put in the intense heat of the dishwasher. Silver Spoonful reserves the right to refuse orders that are vulgar, negative or offensive. Chocolate Coated Spoons - All chocolate coatings are made to order, in small batches to preserve the taste and quality of the product, and to ensure that there is little waste. I use high quality ingredients to produce a delicious product. Be assured that every item is individually hand-washed, thoroughly rinsed and dried prior to coating. Please note that items from Silver Spoonful do not come from an allergy free kitchen. All flavored spoons are prepared with equipment that also processes nuts, wheat, eggs and dairy. Caring for Silver "Surface Marking of Silver: Silver is a very soft metal and from the very first time items of silver or silver plated cutlery are put into service the characteristic white patina of silver will begin to develop. Marking takes place at different rates due to (a) the different uses that items are put to, and (b) variances in piece contact throughout washing, cleaning and usage." From: http://www.lathco.co.uk/silver_plated_cutlery_care_stainless_steel_cutlery_care.html Antique and vintage silver and silver plate will come with some scratches and scuffs from its' previous journey. It's all part of the life of the piece and what makes it even more of a treasure. If you would like to bring back the shine, I recommend Wright's Silver Cream to polish your silver plate. This is the brand I use. ♥
