Welcome to the Sassifrass Hill Studio! Art, Candles, Cards, and Jewelry! we are located on the side of a mountain in Western Pennsylvania. It is in this tranquil setting with birdsong coming in through the screen door in the summer, or the crackling of the woodstove in the winter & always the comforting sound of a rescued dog snoring at our feet that we create for hours on end. I have been creating jewelry for over 35 years and I have accumulated quite an array of gemstones & beads along the way. I started creating greeting cards in 2008 and have made over 8000 cards so far! Yes another addiction, what can I say! I was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer in 2007 and that led me to creating The Sleeping Princess card company. It is my way to help spread awareness about the signs, symptoms & risks factors of this silent killer. One card at a time I am making a difference! In 2014 My husband and I began making our own line of candles! I will be offering them here too in the near future!
