My art quilts are all one of a kind pieces - I never make any two of the same. I'm make them for my enjoyment of "the process" as much as anything which is why I keep the prices affordable - I really want them to find a good "home". I use a variety of techniques - using a combo of batiks, cottons, funky yarn fibers - quilting, thread painting, fabric painting, collage - whatever the piece calls for. Each piece either has a sleeve or tabs on the back for hanging and are signed. For care, just dust or wipe with damp cloth - iron from the back if needed. I've been making quilts for 30 years, the last 10 of which have been devoted to the art quilts. I live in Vermont with my 2 dogs who are indeed my best friends.
