The creation of these items began on a small balcony in New Orleans while fighting off wind and rain of the hurricane season. Fast forwarding to two years later, I am fabricating items in a traditional studio space nearly 10 times the size of the balcony. Regardless of the space, I genuinely enjoy the process of making and creating. To me, its not whether the item is purely for ascetics or serves a utilitarian purpose. It is whether or not the object enriches your life. I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2007, with a degree in Furniture Design and a minor in Sculpture. It was there I really started to hone my craft and abilities as a builder. Utilizing the skill set I received from SCAD I defined my standards of quality.Allowing me to always take pride in my work Following graduation, I moved to Chicago to gain real world skills as a project manager for a furniture manufacture. After two year, I trusted my gut and returned home to Louisiana, making my permanent home New Orleans. I buy all of my material and supplies from local New Orleans businesses. Each piece embodies a bit of heart and soul of Louisiana. I hope a few items in my shop enriches your life or those of your loved ones.
