This lovely, hand crafted 90% silver ring with a patina finish began life as an 1893 Columbian Exposition half dollar. Minted to both fund the World's Fair in Chicago and to commemorate Columbus' voyage, these were the very first commemorative coins ever issued in the US. A unique slice of American history!
