This is an image of an american kestrel (male.) Unlike most birds of prey, the male and female actually look significantly different. I drew the image in scratchboard, then digitally collaged it together with more of my drawing and printmaking.
This is a hybrid image, drawn and painted, then digitally cut and pasted.
I love collage and cut and paste, but I also love drawing and doodling and scratchboard. Using my scanner, scissors, and inky fingers, I hybridize digital and real-world cut and paste to make my strange little images.
Print is on an 8.5x11 inch sheet of archival paper, printed with archival inks in my home studio for quality checking you can count on. The print area is 7inches by 9 inches.
Ships board backed signed, and in a protective sleeve.
