When my oldest son Austin was one and one half years old he had a blanket someone had sewn him as a baby gift with a lace ruffle border. This was it. This was his blanket. He loved to hold the corner of the ruffle and rub it firmly on his jaw for comfort uttering "d d d d d". Since he could barely talk a blanket was a "Bink". DD Bink. Family name. Family legacy. I decided to name my line of crochet afghans "DDBinks". My inspiration is to create art in crochet. My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was a little girl, in the 1960's. We did not use a pattern book.
