This decorative ceramic tile was cast from a mold taken from an impression of a ceramic cookie mold. This piece is dipped into a white clay slip before the first firing, then dipped into colored glaze for the second firing. This item is part of a body of work produced during an apprenticeship program at a ceramic tile facility in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The clay is a natural, locally sourced red earthenware. All decorative tiles have a recessed notch on the back for hanging on a nail. **Please be advised, this item is finished with LEAD based glazes. It is for DECORATIVE purposes ONLY.
