It is so much fun scouring the beaches of the Pacific Coast for new rock creations. Once my husband and I have collected all the pebbles and rocks near Morro Bay, California, we take them home and clean them. I then choose which ones I will use for this Blue Gill/Sun fish rock sculpture atop a stone. Maybe, because I made this Blue Gill/Sun fish rock stripped (which are not normally as distinct), it loves to give kisses! After I have hot glued all the fins and used acrylic paints, I seal the whole rock with a 50/50 resin as a hardener. This Blue Gill/Sun fish rock is 6" long by 5 1/2" tall, 3" at the base and weighs 1 1/2 lbs.. The last picture of the three taken show what it looked like unfinished! Thank you for visiting!
