After finding the wood, I remove the nails and stack the wood. What is it about wood stacks that kids can't resist playing on them? The wood is cut to size and the frames are assembled in my shop, I cut the mats myself, add glass, foam backing and turn buttons to hold all that in. Take pictures and list them on the website. Then spend countless hours writing and rewriting product descriptions to try and get your attention, :] . After your purchase ,I add the mat you've selected,make sure the glass is clean,bubble wrap the frame, carefully box it up and ship it to you.
My style tends towards the more rustic. I love knots,knot holes, nail holes and the various bumps and bruises of weathered wood. I also make them with a cleaner look, not everybody wants the rough look, just the warmth and feel of old wood.
