Ta Prohm Creature Carving Necklace
Featured is a pendant depicting one of the creature carvings found at the beautiful temple Ta Prohm in Angkor, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia. The temple, originally called Rajavihara, was founded by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII as a Mahayana Buddhist Monastery and university. The somewhat controversial carving of a creature with plates on its back has raised questions about dinosaurs and their existence. Are they still among us? Or was it not that long ago that people saw them, carving their images into stone to be remembered. This one of a kind pendant was sculpted by Truly Odd and cast and painted by Cindy's ventures. The eye-catching pendant hangs from a woven hemp and cotton necklace, decorated with green glass beads, accented by wood and pewter beads. A wonderful talking piece as one wonders if the carving of the creature is a Stegosaurus. Comes in a cloth jewelry bag.
