Vintage style black and pearl green sweater keeper with rhinestones and glass beads
Sweater pins and clips became a hit in the late 1940s through the 1960s and are back in full force today as part of fashion trends such as pin-up styles, rockabilly, retro, and steampunk. No matter the style, there are sweater keepers out there. Sweater Guards, Sweater Keepers, Sweater Pins or Sweater Clips: Whatever you call them, they were quite useful for the woman’s wardrobe. My mother, born in the early 1930s, told me they were used for a lot of things from keeping camisole or slip straps from falling, keeping sweaters, capes, or shrugs from falling off your shoulders, about when she and her sisters would put clip-on earrings and attach them to their sweaters or collars to add a little “perk” to the outfit. My clips have details about each type on their listing; however, everyone is made with pin and frog enclosures as a means to secure them to your sweater, shirt, cap, hat or even purse. All items usually ship within two to three days of receipt of payment. Your sweater clips will arrive wrapped carefully and placed in an envelope. If you need special arrangements please let me know. Gift wrapping is also available. I have not listed shipping options outside of the United States and Canada as the prices vary too widely; but if you are international and interested in this item, please reach out to me and we can discuss shipping options. Thank you for shopping around with Starling Moon Designs.
