St Benedict Pocket Rosary Kingman Turquoise
I woke with a troubled mind this morning, so dug out the supplies to make prayerful things with love by hand to soothe myself. The Kingman, AZ Turquoise beads are from my private stash that can't be replaced. I purchased them nearly 20 years ago at the Gem Show in Quartzsite from a guy that specialized in cutting domestic turquoise. The mine these came from is no longer producing. The beads are approximately 12x9mm, and the large Peridot Our Father bead is about 14x12mm, in a rough shape. The spacers are suede leather, I punch the discs out of scrap leather from other projects. They give a soft, rustic flexibility. The other beads, turquoise colored 3-4mm tubes at each end, are dyed pipestone salvaged from a broken choker from the 1970s. The total length, end to end, of the rosary, is 10 inches, the beaded portion is about 7 1/2 inches. The St Benedict Medallion and Crucifix are from Italy. Shipping is included in the price, First Class with Insurance and Tracking. I ship next business day after payment received (unless it's early in the day and I can run to the USPS!).
