Santa Claus pewter figurine, hand cast
Add some handmade charm to Christmas this year! Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, St. Nick or Kris Kringle... no matter what the name, Santa is legendary and ready to bring a gift for those deserving on Christmas Eve. Toys and candy go to well-behaved children and coal or nothing to the naughty ones. Santa is generally depicted like this delightful pewter figurine: jolly and white-bearded, dressed in fur-trimmed coat and hat for his cold winter flight. If you like this figurine, check out the snowman and skiers in my shop! This hand cast pewter figurine is created in my small studio, located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Each of my figurines is hand crafted using 100% lead-free Britannia metal, known as pewter. Britannia metal (also called britannium or Britannia ware) is a specific type of pewter alloy, favoured for its silvery appearance and smooth surface. The composition is typically about 92% tin, 6% antimony, and 2% copper. I carefully pour and finish each piece so the final product is something you will treasure for many years. I've been casting pewter for over 30 years and, to many, this is seen as a lost art. The pictured piece is a very close example of the final product you will receive. As I hand-cast each figurine, there may be minor differences between the item pictured and the one you receive; I consider this to be one of the many unique benefits of purchasing a hand-crafted item. If you are interested in purchasing multiples of any of the items in my shop, please contact me, as I am happy to accommodate!
