These intricately detailed trees may be used as a nice stand-alone shelf display (just remove the hook). Otherwise they can be used as a Christmas tree ornament to be enjoyed for years to come, as part of your holiday tradition. This hand cast pewter figurine is created in my small studio, located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, where pine trees of many varieties fill the landscape, creating inspiration for the final product. Each of my figurines is hand crafted using 100% lead-free Britannia metal, known as pewter. Britannia metal (also called britannium or Britannia ware) is a specific type of pewter alloy, favoured for its silvery appearance and smooth surface. The composition is typically about 92% tin, 6% antimony, and 2% copper. I carefully pour and finish each piece so the final product is something you will treasure for many years. I've been casting pewter for over 30 years and, to many, this is seen as a lost art. The pictured piece is a very close example of the final product you will receive. As I hand-cast each figurine, there may be minor differences between the item pictured and the one you receive; I consider this to be one of the many unique benefits of purchasing a hand-crafted item. If you are interested in purchasing multiples of any of the items in my shop, please contact me, as I am happy to accommodate!
