Hi there! We're Rob and Leighanne Thompson. We've been making and selling our custom made rings on that other online craft venue for ten years, and have over twenty years combined experience. We've been married for twenty-three years and have seven children ranging in age from twelve to twenty-one. We live on sixty-three acres in the gorgeous Missouri Ozarks with our cocker spaniels, a couple of loud mouthed parrots, and a small herd of dairy goats. We strive to live a simple life (not always easy!) We enjoy gardening and the outdoors, cooking from scratch, and spending time with our family. All of our rings are handmade by us from start to finish in our studio. Our rings are still made the same way they were when we started out; by hand, one at a time, just for the person ordering. Even though that other craft venue's policies changed to allow manufacturers, we haven't changed our production methods. You can buy our wood and wood inlay rings with confidence; they are treated for water resistance and we do not charge an extra fee for this, and never have. Our mission is to create beautiful quality pieces that will last a lifetime, provide excellent service to our buyers, and to do this at prices that are affordable to everyone. If you send us a messageand we don't get right back to you, please send us another message! We are mom and dad to seven and our household can get hectic at times =0). We get so many messages that they can get buried fast, so if we don't get back with you, just contact us again. We'll thank you for it!

Payment Policy

We accept Paypal and money orders as payment. Work won't begin on a ring until payment has cleared.

Shipping Policy

We need three to four weeks to make a ring or set of rings; once an order is complete we ship via USPS Priority Mail which typically takes 2-3 days to arrive. You will receive shipping notification with tracking when your order ships.

Refund & Exchange Policy

We do not offer refunds or exchanges in our shop since everything we make is made to order, although if there is a problem with an order we'll do all we can to help. Just let us know if you have any issues with an order at any time.

Other Policies

We are happy to make custom and personalized orders, as essentially everything we make is custom :). We'll definitely do what we can to make just what you're looking for if we're able. Just convo us with what you'd like us to make and we'll let you know if it's something we can do. Also, once you've discussed a custom band with us and you order, please remember to put any special requests and changes in the notes to seller section of checkout- it helps us tremendously to have all of the information we need in one place. We reserve the right to photograph and use custom designs for future sales and listings. Our inlay rings are stabilized and given a durable, water resistant finish. You can clean your ring with a soft cloth and any furniture polish, or even olive oil on a soft cloth. We'd suggest keeping your ring away from anything caustic that could damage the finish. If your finish is ever damaged or needs reapplying, we can do that for just $10 for the life of your ring. We also can replace a damaged inlay at any time for the same cost. Gift wrapping and packaging All of our rings come in a small, handcrafted wooden ring box that is perfect for gift giving. If you're sending a gift, let us know- we can include a note and ensure that there's no receipt included. Our rings are not resizable. We can sometimes make an existing ring larger by about half a size, but never more than that, and we can never make them smaller. We recommend using our ring sizer for a good fit, to avoid any issues with sizing. There's no charge for our sizer. If we need to make a ring larger by more than half a size, or make a ring smaller, that means beginning again with a new ring. For this we ask for return of the original ring and half its cost. A remake will take the same time to make as a regular order; three to four weeks. Please let us know about any sizing issues within 30 days of receipt of your ring. We cannot accept cancellation requests once a sizer has been mailed. If there is a problem with your order, just let us know. We are committed to ensuring that our customers love their rings, and are glad to work out issue with orders. While we don't refund our rings, we're more than happy to work within our policies to make sure that all of our customers are happy with their rings from Rob and Lean. We guarantee all of our rings to be free of defects in manufacture for 90 days after receipt. (This does not include resizing rings.) We can engrave up to 20 characters in our rings; just let us know what you'd like engraved in the notes box at checkout. Limit your engraving to letters and numbers and simple punctuation. We do not recommend engraving on wood. We use real hardwoods and stone in our inlays; for this reason, you should expect variations in your ring verses the image in the listing you order. The color and grain pattern can vary slightly from inlay to inlay just as color and grain varies slightly in different pieces of wood. We will not guarantee that a ring will look exactly like the image in our listing, although we do promise to use the variety shown and to use the best quality wood and stone that we can obtain. Your ring by Rob and Lean is a unique custom piece :). We need three to four weeks to complete an order in most cases. Often, rings ship earlier than this stated production time. Our rings are handmade, by us, one at a time. We do not rush orders for extra money. If we are able to expedite an order to meet a shorter deadline, we're glad to do so. However, our ability to do rush work is affected by our workload. Please check before ordering if you have a shorter deadline than our production time plus shipping time. Also, please don't place an order and then demand we finish it on a shorter timeline- it's not fair to us or our other customers :). We use standard US ring sizing, including half and quarter sizes. If you don't know what size ring you need, we will be glad to mail you a ring sizer free of charge, after you place an order. Just let us know that you need a sizer when you check out. If you get sized at a department store jewelry counter or another jeweler, we will not be responsible for mis sized rings. Unfortunately not all sizing tools are created equally. The best way to figure size if you really don't know is to get our free ring sizer mailed. Wider rings fit more snugly than narrower rings of the same size, so if you're ordering a wider band, it's a good idea to order up a bit for comfort.
