This is a beautiful handmade Turkish drop spindle. The cross pieces or whorl are handMade from African Mahogany and the spindle is hand turned from Walnut. Turkish spindles are very fun to spin on and you can even create a center pull ball as you are spinning. This spindle weighs about 13.5 grams and is suitable for spinning finer yarns. The cross arms on this spindle are about four inches and the spindle is just over five inches.
