When living back East, I used to attend many Pow Wows. I like the concept of honoring the four directions within Native American and also in Pagan ceremonies. Four Directions is a mini collage [4"X4"] mounted on archival mat board with a square of foam core on the back to give the piece depth created for an Annual 30/30 challenge. Brightly painted watercolor paper is torn unevenly and adhered to the base mat board with an orange metallic paper. Four gold metal buttons and four black half spheres indicate the directions. A serene calm paper cast face is in the middle representing the great spirit.
