The sticks are harvested during the cold of winter from the forest here in eastern Kentucky. The sticks are allowed to dry in the barn loft for two years or longer.
Each walking stick cut to length, sanded, and several layers of polyurethane applied. Each walking cane or walking stick can be sized to fit each person's needs. Walking sticks may vary in color and wood type from the sticks shown in the picture below, as each stick is hand made.
