Beanie Hat Watch Cap Hand Knitted with Hand Spun 100% Wool - KINKAID'S LUPINE by Kat
KINKAID'S LUPINE is part of our Native Oregon Plants series. It is native to western North America from southern British Columbia south through Washington to Oregon. The purple in the hat beautifully reflects the plant's blooms. Kat knitted this hat in a ribbed pattern from hand-spun, 100% Wool yarn. This hat is a little on the bigger side and would fit great for somebody wanting to hide a lot of hair or dreads :) It measures 22" unstretched and will sttretch to 36". This item is unique because: The yarn has been hand-spun Much care and work has gone into this hat, and it needs to be hand washed . Hand-washing is actually rather simple: Put the item in a sink with warm water and a little bit of detergent or shampoo and let it sit for a little. Gently knead it a bit, rinse and gently wring it, and roll it into a towel to absorb the remaining moisture. Then let it air dry flat. Please do not hang it up to dry. It might stretch because wool is a natural fiber. For hand-dyed items, you can put a little bit of vinegar into the rinse for better color retention.
