Slouch Beanie Hat Hand Knitted with Beads - BONNEVILLE by Anja
BONNEVILLE is part of our 'Oregon Town' series, named after the home of the famous Bonneville Lock and Dam and fish hatchery. The colors of this slouch beanie remind us of the Salmon in the Columbia River. Anja hand-knitted this beanie from a yarn made of Wool, Cotton and Acrylic, and added large beads to the front. The hat is knitted in a lace pattern and is super-soft and cozy. It is fairly big and would work great to hold your dreadlocks in! This item is unique because: While this hat is made from commercially available yarn, we doubt that it could be reproduced in the exact way, since every knitter's stitches are unique. Much care and work has gone into this hat and needs to be hand-washed. Hand-washing is actually rather simple: Put the item in a sink with warm water and a little bit of detergent or shampoo and let it sit for a little. Gently knead it a bit, rinse and gently wring it, and roll it into a towel to absorb the remaining moisture. Then let it air dry flat. Please do not hang it up to dry. It might stretch because cotton and linen are natural fibers. For hand-dyed items, you can put a little bit of vinegar into the rinse for better color retention.
