These gorgeous Rectangular Blue Spinel gemstone POST earrings are hancrafted in solid 14K Gold the classic basket style setting.
The Blue Spinel rectanguler shaped stones are 10 x 8mm and each stone weighs approximately 3.0 carats with a total carat weight of 6.0 CTW.
Spinel is a fascinating gemstone that occurs in a wide range of colors including many shades of red and many shades of blue. Few people are familiar with these stones. This is because they are overshadowed by their more valuable cousins, rubies and sapphires. The colors of Spinel are very intense and vibrant. They have a hardness of 8 on the Mohs scale which make them one of the more durable gems. The most notable locations for Spinel are Sri Lanka and Burma.
