Cane Cholla Cactus is a native cactus here in New Mexico. Once the plant dies and spends years in the weather, all the skin and flesh fall away leaving the hard inner wood behind All wood is processed myself: · Harvested myself (only downed dead plants, NO LIVE PLANTS HARMED) · Cut, shaped & sanded myself · Cleaned by hand, picking all debris away from outside and inside · Washed & scrubbed in water only…NO CHEMICALS USED · Oven dried to remove all moisture · Some items are coated with shellac to bring out the colors and give them a beautiful finish
