Butterfly Sundries's Policies
Greetings and welcome to Butterfly Sundries! I hope you will join me in my endeavor to create a more beautiful world, one gift at a time. To do my part, I donate a portion of the profits (10% minimum) from each sale to the Featured Charity; information about the featured charity is always available through my website: www.ButterflySundries.com. At present most of my items are acid-etched and/or wire work, but over the next several months I anticipate quickly expanding into other areas including metal casting, soaps and candles. I encourage you to check back frequently to review my new offerings. And now… for all those fun "rules, fine print and regulations." Love them or hate them, but here they are for your reading enjoyment…..
At this time, I only accept through PayPal. I kindly request payment immediately upon purchase. If payment is not completed, and I have not heard from you within 3 days of purchase, I will consider it a canceled transaction. If you have a special situation just keep in contact with me so I don't re-list your item. Should you have any problems with the payment process, please contact me. If for some reason you need to cancel your purchase from my shop, please contact me immediately. All Washington state orders will have a 9.5% sales tax (this includes orders which are made from Washington as well as orders which have a Washington destination). I reserve the right to refuse a transaction for any reason.
Prior to mailing, all orders/items are packaged in a standard white gift box (unless otherwise indicated) to prevent damage during shipping; if you would like to upgrade a black velvet gift box for jewelry items message me or include a note with your order and I will send you an updated invoice or create a custom listing for you! I ship all items purchased via USPS with Insurance (when the purchase amount meets or exceeds 75 USD); I also add Delivery Confirmation (or Tracking) when possible. Every effort is made to ensure that shipments are mailed within 3-5 days after payment has been received/processed; orders placed on weekends/holidays may take a little longer. If for some reason shipment will take longer than 5 days I will contact you by e-mail (please make sure your contact information is correct when you order). Please note: If you use a PayPal e-check then I must wait for payment to clear before shipping. This usually takes 4-7 days and it will impact how soon you receive your order. Shipping and Handling costs are approximated and include the actual costs related to shipping, delivery confirmation (or tracking) and insurance (when the purchase amount is greater than or equal to $75 and/or you have chosen a priority shipping upgrade). If you would like to make a large order I'll be happy to work with you to combine shipping costs. Please ensure that your address submitted during checkout matches your PayPal address. You may add alternate addresses to your PayPal account - if you need assistance with this, please contact me. If the PayPal and invoice shipping addresses do not match, I will not ship the item until you have confirmed the correct address. I want your item to get to you! INTERNATIONAL ORDERS Most of my items can be shipped internationally. If the shipping price turns out to be significantly less to ship to your destination than what you have been charged, I will refund the difference. Note that I do not pay any duties, customs fees, or any other associated fees. These are the responsibility of the buyer if their country charges these types of fees. Please be aware of customs information, including any fees that may be incurred on your end before purchasing. This information can be found at your local post office or on the web. Every country varies. If you have any questions or concerns about these policies please let me know and I'll be happy to explain further.
Refund & Exchange Policy
I do my best to describe and photograph our items as accurately as possible. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, please contact me by e-mail. Customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance to me and I am always eager to answer any question or concerns. Refunds are considered on an individual basis but the general guidelines are as follows: If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, notify me by email. If I agree to the return, I will have you send the piece back to me in unused condition within 14 days of its delivery to you, and I will refund your purchase price upon receipt of the piece and confirmation of its condition. Please note, however, that I will not refund the price of return shipping. As a refund will only be issued if the piece is received in like-new and unused condition, I strongly recommend insuring the item for its return journey. PLEASE NOTE: Due to health concerns (both for myself and my clients), I cannot accept merchandise smelling of cigarette smoke (or any other substance) for returns, regardless of whether it has been worn or used. I cannot accommodate exchanges at this time, but a store credit on a future purchase may be possible.
CUSTOM ORDERS In general, I do not take custom orders. However, if you see (or have seen) a piece in my inventories which you would like adapted (e.g. length, size, design or metal type) to suit your preferences I would be happy to discuss a project with you. LARGE ORDERS In as much as possible, I combine shipments for large orders when all items are going to the same destination. Excess S&H costs are refunded to you via PayPal after actual shipping costs (including insurance and delivery confirmation) have been determined. WHOLESALE OR CONSIGNMENT QUESTIONS I welcome inquiries; please message me so we can explore the possibilities! PLEASE NOTE: All pieces are created by hand so no two items are identical. That's the beauty of handmade gifts! Please allow for slight variances from what is shown in photos. Other notes: I work in a dedicated studio which is smoke-free and occasionally cat-friendly (at least that’s what the cat seems to think). I store a number of different inventory items in my studio, including scented candles and soaps, if you have allergies please message me for details.
