This nickel silver pendant that was crafted from metal clay has been paired with a beautiful prong-set amazonite stone. The color of the stone is a beautiful blue green that is reminiscent of the ocean in the Caribbean interwoven. There are thin white streaks interwoven in a pattern in the stone that I tried to capture and replicate the texture of the metal clay. A simple pendant bail and 20 inch double link chain completes this one of a kind pendant. The third picture was taken with as little light as possible without inhibiting visibility to showcase the texture of the metal. Nickel silver tends to be a bit shinier than copper and bronze making it difficult to capture its essence without a glare in a photograph. While silver is in the title, nickel silver is actually an alloy comprised of nickel, copper and zinc so no silver is in the material. Even though nickel is not harmful in any way, those with skin sensitivities should take extra care when wearing. Any metal that contains copper will tarnish and that includes nickel silver. I have noticed that the process takes a little longer with this type of metal. While it may take longer, I still have to recommend keeping your pendant in a sealed storage bag when not being worn just to keep it looking as new as the day you purchased it. Also, I do use Renaissance wax as a type of sealant but it is not impenetrable and the metal will naturally darken with time but the wax slows the process. A gift box is included for ease of giving and safe shipping.
