The American Bench Craft Dress Belt is handcrafted from the same 1/8” thick leather we use with our Working Man’s Belts, but is cut to a slim 1” width, making this belt as sleek and sharp as it is durable and long lasting. The Dress Belt is constructed with a Stainless Steel, Center Bar Buckle which stays crisply in line with the edges of the belt, eliminating the need for a belt loop, so you are left with a unique and refined appearance. This Belt can be worn with anything from a nice pair of jeans to your sharpest suit making it one of the most versatile items in your wardrobe. Proper Sizing: PLEASE READ BELOW For proper sizing we suggest one size larger than you normal pant size, so if you typically wear 32” waist pants, please select one of our size 34 belts. The Process: Your Dress Belt is constructed from a single strip of our premium, full grain, vegetable-tanned leather, which is cut to size once you place your order (please contact us for custom sizing). We stamp and finish your belt using simple hand tools for an entirely handcrafted product, proudly Made-in-the-USA. Why NO Thread Stitching? Both thread stitching and metal rivets offer strong holds, however we have found rivets hold up better against the friction that results from your belt being worn every day. Heat and friction cause thread to fray. Heat and friction simply polish metal; making rivets a unique, strong and attractive alternative to thread stitching. Why Vegetable-Tanned Leather? We use only vegetable-tanned leather with our belts, because only vegetable-tanned leather develops a unique and beautiful patina, is environmentally friendly, requires skilled craftsmen to produce and dye, and smells like leather, not chemicals. All of this ensures our belts are of the highest quality and craftsmanship. Why a Single Strip of Leather? Simple products are more durable. Fewer parts equal less susceptibility to failure. The single piece design ensures our belts will last for years to come. How can you tell our Leather is Full Grain? Upon close inspection, you’ll notice subtle scars, brands and marks that ensure your belt was made from full grain leather. Hides are split into numerous layers; however, each hide has only one Full Grain layer. The Full Grain layer is the very top of the hide, and is the most sought after cut because it is the strongest layer and develops a unique and beautiful patina, which allows the leather to improve with age and use. The subtle imperfections characteristic of full grain leather ensure the authenticity of your belt, and that a completely all-natural and unaltered material was used in its construction, making your belt one-of-a-kind and entirely your own.
