Leather Multi-Tool Case
Ever wonder why most LEATHERman Multi-Tools come with nylon sheaths? So did we. So, we made our own Multi-Tool Case using our premium leather and riveted construction design concept. The American Bench Craft Multi-Tool sheath is constructed from a single piece of vegetable-tanned leather, hand-cut from one of our rugged, full grain hides. We stamp and finish the sheath using simple hand tools for an entirely handcrafted product, proudly Made-in-the-USA. We use brass fasteners for a heavy-duty and secure fit. This sheath will fit on any belt up to 2” wide and was designed around the Leatherman Wave, but will fit most standard-sized knives and multi-tools. The inside dimensions are approximately 1.5” x 0.875” x 4.125” for your convenience. **Nylon Cases have their place, particularly in military applications, but in our minds, nothing beats a quality leather sheath. Why Vegetable-Tanned Leather? We use only vegetable-tanned leather, because it is entirely all-natural, environmentally friendly, requires skilled craftsmen to produce and dye, smells like leather not chemicals and develops a unique patina that is entirely your own. All of this ensures our leather sheaths are of the highest quality and craftsmanship. Why NO thread stitching? Both thread stitching and metal rivets offer strong holds. However, we’ve found rivets hold up better against the heat and friction from carrying your Multi Tool Case. Over time, heat and friction fray thread and your Sheath could ultimately fall apart. Heat and friction simply polish metal; making rivets a unique and strong alternative to thread stitching. Why a Single Piece of Leather? Simple products are more durable. Fewer parts equal less susceptibility to failure. The single piece design ensures that our Sheaths will last for years to come. How can you tell our Leather is Full Grain? Upon close inspection, you’ll notice subtle scars, brands and marks that ensure your Multi Tool Case was made from full grain leather. Hides are split into numerous layers; however, each hide has only one Full Grain layer. The Full Grain layer is the very top of the hide, and is the most sought after cut because it is the strongest layer and develops a unique patina, which allows the leather to improve with age and use. The subtle imperfections characteristic of full grain leather ensure the authenticity of your Leatherman Sheath, and that a completely all-natural and unaltered material was used in its construction, making your Sheath incredibly durable and one-of-a-kind.
