Goldstone is a type of glittering glass. Early monks working at a glass factory near Venice, Italy were practicing alchemy when molten copper accidentally tipped into a molten glass container. This crystallized into thousands of tiny crystals and formed a melt with golden light sparkles. This is how the first goldstone came about. The sparkling 1.25 inch brown goldstone donut pendant has a sunburst design on one side, and the other side is plain. I created a bail with small round goldstone beads and crystal AB glass seed beads. I designed the classy 30 inch necklace with oval goldstone beads and several sizes of brown goldstone round beads. In between are bronze roundel glass and crystal AB glass seed beads. I finished the necklace with a pretty .925 sterling silver hammered hook and eye clasp. No need to open the clasp - just put the necklace over your head. All other materials are sterling silver. Matching earrings dangle from .925 sterling silver ear wires with a length of 1.5 inches. High quality goldstone beads and sterling silver findings were used for this creation.
