Hand Turned Lepardwood Bottle Opener
Everybody needs a bottle opener. I know I can never find one when I need one. Especially now that most of the newer beers don’t have twist off caps. This is a heavy duty steel opener that has a chrome finish. The handle is hand turned from Lepardwood. Lepardwood is an exotic hardwood that is native to Central and South America. The wood is a medium to dark reddish brown with grey or light brown rays, which resemble the spots of a leopard. It is used in veneer, cabinetry, fine furniture, musical instruments (guitars), and turned objects like this one. The opener is glued into the handle with high strength epoxy so it is permanently secured. The opener measures approximately 1 1/2” diameter by 6” long. After turning and sanding to 800 grit, multiple coats of wipe-on varnish have been applied for durability. The finish is completely food safe. If cleaning is required, hand wash with mild detergent, rinse and dry.
